Multi day adventure

This challenging trek takes you to five pristine glacial lakes—Laguna Toncek, Laguna Schmoll, Laguna Negra, Laguna CAB, and Laguna Creton—each set against a backdrop of jagged peaks and untouched wilderness. Hikers will experience diverse landscapes, from alpine ridgelines to lush forests, and enjoy stunning views at every turn. Ideal for seasoned trekkers, this adventure offers a rewarding immersion in the raw beauty of Patagonia’s lake district.

 Participants will be captivated by the diverse landscapes, from lush forests to panoramic mountain views. The trek offers a sense of solitude and adventure, as it navigates through some of the most secluded areas of the park. With the support of experienced guides, all necessary logistics are taken care of, allowing you to focus on the journey and the stunning surroundings.

SCHEDULE

Day 1 - Journey to Laguna Negra:

the journey begins with a departure from Bariloche, heading towards Colonia Suiza. Here, the trek starts with a trail leading to Refugio Manfredo Segre at Laguna Negra. The 11-kilometer hike takes you through forests of Coihues and Lengas, culminating in an ascent through the "caracoles" to the refuge. After a day of trekking, you'll enjoy dinner and rest at the refuge.

Day 2 - Ascend to Laguna CAB:

starts with breakfast before setting out to circle Laguna Negra and ascend the Bailey Willis ridge. This vantage point offers a panoramic view of the days ahead. The trail then descends into the valley of Arroyo la Chata before climbing again towards Laguna CAB, where you'll set up camp for the night.

Day 3 - Traverse to Laguna Creton

 the longest day of the trek, you'll start early to make the most of the daylight. The route crosses Laguna CAB and ascends the ridge of Cerro CAB, followed by a descent to Mallín del Mate Dulce for lunch. Afterward, you'll tackle the steep climb to the ridge between Cerro Cristales and Cerro Cumpleaños, with views of Laguna Creton. The day ends with a descent to camp by the stream flowing from the lagoon.

Day 4 - Explore Laguna Jujuy and Laguna Illon

involves another ascent, this time crossing Laguna Jujuy with a stunning view of Laguna Azul from above. The trail continues along the ridge to Cerro Capitán, where the final descents of the trek begin. You'll pass Mallín de Ricardo to reach the northern shore of Laguna Illon. A short hike to "La Mirada del Doctor" offers an incredible viewpoint before returning to the dome campsite for dinner and a well-deserved rest.

Day 5 - Descent to Pampa Linda

the pace is more relaxed as you enjoy breakfast and prepare for the descent to Pampa Linda. The trail leads through Lengas forests to the base of Cerro Tronador, where you'll have lunch and await the transfer back to Bariloche. This marks the end of an incredible journey through the high-altitude lagoons of Nahuel Huapi National Park.
